Observation Details
120-140cm total snow depth measured at provided aspect and elevation. F down to 120cm, 4F down to 100cm where 3cm rain crust present. In some areas, new snow above 1/9 rain crust @ 100cm was stratified into various density wind slabs. Graupel observed on snow and in snowpack where wind activity was present.
Interface between new snow and the rain crust from 1/9ish was a concern. CT12 @ 100cm. ECTP13 Q2 @ 100cm on rain crust. The group surmises that with incoming cold temperatures this interface will remain a hazard in some areas.
Drainages observed to have open flowing water up to 4000’.
