Observation Details

We dug a couple of quick pits within a few hundred vertical feet of each other. The snowpack depth was highly variable from pit to pit and throughout the slide, ranging from 10cm to 90cm. The snowpack seemed well consolidated but was sitting on top of the bedrock on a 3 cm slush/ice/wet layer.

We felt comfortable with few to no red flags and skied the slide (and the woods down to the lean to safely and happily).
