Triggered Avalanche

D1: Relatively harmless to people.

Cooper Kiln, 3-4 inches deep, 10 feet wide, 20 foot run path

Observation Details

Heavy rainfall overnight followed by rapid warming. Rollerballs apparent near top of slide. Observed obvious wet layer of snow a few inches thick that was prone to slide on the ascent. Aimed to stay on lower terrain <30 degrees. Triggered small slide roughly 10 feet wide with a 20 foot run path off a roller >30 degrees.
