Observation Details
Ski cutting revealed only dry loose sluff - loosely consolidated at 4200 feet East aspect
Some isolated pockets were slightly denser, but no propagation, shooting cracks, etc.

Melt crust from 12/19-12/20 obvious at 65cm

Still filling in. There’s lots of winter left, worth it to ski cautiously and wait for the terrain to connect a little more and for more snow to cover hazards.

A view from the bottom of the convergence of the Whiteface slides. Zoom in on Slide 1 to get a good view of the main ice falls. Definitely worth scoping out your line before sending yourself aimlessly to your demise.
