Observation Details
Touring between Adirondack Loj and Marcy Dam. Overcast, flurries and light wind. Temps in teens to low 20s. Observed wind loading on eastern aspects and shooting cracks stepping off the skin track. Failed ECTP 19 with full propogation (Q1 sudden collapse). Fluffy top layer covering 4 finger layer that compressed down to 1 finger before a deep crust over a buried faceted layer. ECT failed at the buried crust layer about 62cm down.
