Observation Details

Initial observations: hard wind crust underfoot, cracking around feet but no shooting cracks or wumphing.

Finger hardness test: mostly hard over soft snow. 4 finger/1 finger hardness consistently throughout most of the pit.

ECT test: The pit was 75 cm deep, down to rotted facet/ice flow layer on the ground. Found a crust at about 40cm. ECT 24, nonplanar shear with no propagation, fracture at 40cm.

Skiing was wind crust with some harder crusts but consistently pleasant skiing.

Interesting to see the difference between N aspect here and Cruciflyer slide today from our other group.
