Observation Details
Observed 6-7" of new snow at 3,900 and about 8" a little higher up. (The road is totally covered now.) Winds were very light at 3,900 at 1:30pm but noticeably stronger out of the west higher up with some wind drifted snow near the summit of Whiteface. Snowfall was light to moderate during my tour from noon to 3:45pm. I did a few hand shears that failed easily on the new snow/old hard snow crust interface.
